Northern Collaboration Event Definitions

Learning Exchanges:

Hosted by member institutions, learning exchange events provide opportunities for staff working within similar areas of library operations to come together. The emphasis will be on exchanging experiences and practice in an informal setting, and all levels of staff will have the opportunity to share knowledge and exchange ideas, experiences and good practice.

Learning & Development Events:

Learning & Development events provide the opportunity to hear and learn from speakers on a particular theme. Trainers and experts from both within and outside the Northern Collaboration may be sourced. These events offer the opportunity to gain and/or update delegate knowledge on current library related issues.

NC Conference:

This annual event provides the following development opportunities for NC staff :

  • Membership of the conference planning group

  • Opportunity to present at the event

  • Opportunity to attend the event as a delegate

The conference will draw upon the expertise of two keynote speakers, and provide up to 16 presentation opportunities to staff from NC institutions only.
